Congregational Singing

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord;

let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!

Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving;

let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!

Psalm 95

Why we sing?

We sing because we are

created to, commanded to, and compelled to.

And when we sing great truths, great things happen.

components of our singing

  • Praise Band

    Volunteers on our praise band use their gifts and abilities to encourage congregational singing, worshiping the Lord through music. They serve our main Sunday Worship Gathering and other events throughout the week.

  • Worship Choir

    The choir's purpose is to help the congregation sing better, as those with strong vocal ability help everyone else sing out familiar tunes and navigate newer ones. They are musicians, serving GRBC with their gifts.

  • Doctrinally rich Music & text

    We aim to sing songs that give:

    • A vast vision of God's character
    • How we fit into God's redemption story
    • A broad understanding of the human experience

Psalm 100

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!

   Serve the Lord with gladness!
   Come into his presence with singing!

Know that the Lord, he is God!
    It is he who made us, and we are his;
    we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,

    and his courts with praise!
    Give thanks to him; bless his name!

For the Lord is good;
    his steadfast love endures forever,
    and his faithfulness to all generations.
